Venue Spotlight: The Barns at Wolf Trap - Concerts in November

  Situated in what used to be two 18th-century barns, The Barns at Wolf Trap is one of the most happening live music venues in the DC area. With its intimate setting and an enviable event lineup all year round, it offers an excellent spot for music lovers wishing to experience some good music away from the hubbub. Up-and-coming Canadian Artists Performing Live in Silver Spring, MD

Born in Yemen to Iraqi parents, Ali Gatie is a Canadian singer-songwriter who started pursuing a professional music career in 2016 at the young age of 18 after dropping out of his university where he was originally enrolled to study business. Gatie started recording music in his senior year of high school after being encouraged by a friend to rent a recording studio. A year later in 2017, he won the RhymeStars online contest hosted by Joe Budden and won $3,000 for submitting a hip-hop track called “How I Live”. This encouraged Gatie to take his passion more seriously and over the course of the next year released a string of singles after which he was signed by Warner Records. The song that helped him sign with Warner Records was “Moonlight” and is considered his first commercial success. The “Moonlight” music video has garnered 59 million views on YouTube to date.
